Colby Akers came to live with us in Twin Falls after he had been in the system for a while.

His dad died in a car crash after an argument with his mother before Colby reached age two. Soon afterward, the abuse began. He was tied up in the yard like an animal, or locked in his bedroom for long periods without the use of the bathroom.
