About Chris Carlson

David "Chris" Carlson was a native of Kellogg. Before his death in 2018, he lived in Medimont. A longtime press secretary to former Idaho Governor Cecil D. Andrus, Chris directed the U.S. Department of the Interior Office of Public Affairs when Andrus was Secretary of the Interior under President Jimmy Carter. He also worked in public relations and journalism. Chris held a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University and a master of arts from Idaho State University.
