Rookie Snowmobilers Messing Up

As backcountry snowmobilers, my boyfriend Steve Shay, his son Kody, friend Wyatt Caviness and I have come across a lot of people over the years who were out to have fun but were unprepared to cope with Idaho’s often treacherous winter conditions.

Last winter alone, we helped two groups of snowmobiles and a couple of backcountry skiiers to get out of the wilderness.
